So, our forwarding day kept. Therefore we shall return to exposition of our shelter. In any mountain tourist shelter a dog necessarily lives. Was not exception and our asylum. At it is lived rather interesting and good-natured dog, rizenshnaucer, on nickname Barry. In the afternoon he was run on the plateau, played with other dogs living on plateau. With pleasure brought to us thrown a stick. To evening Barry had supper with us, and though his host well fostered, he all the same sat and elicited for us meal. Especially Barry liked bread, because of it he could go on any crime. When him gave bread, his look solidified on it and he could go behind bread in any place. Sometimes in evening he even caught to our room and elicited bread, that in the afternoon he usual did not allow to himself.

That evening of May 4 on Ai-Petri the surprising warm weather was stayed, and whence from darkness the shoal large shaggy of the butterflies about a palm by magnitude subitaneously has flied. Barry at once to jump and to catch by their cogs, that for him got rather successfully. As I have understood, the butterflies were rather tasty(delicious). The host of shelter, Wladimir , has explained to us, what is it very infrequent phenomenon. Sometimes in warm night it is not known shoals of such butterflies whence fly. When look on this shoal of the butterflies lighted by a mysterious lunar light, all around seems with what that by a fantasy. Not to believe in a reality of descending events. That seems with what unreal our stay on Ai-Petri , and already absolutely not to believe that where that almost for one thousand kilometers from here is large city in which you live and from which you have arrived on Ai-Petri...

Despite of the magnitude and apparent awkwardness, these butterflies actually were very fast, and to catch by hand them it was impossible. But Barry their quite could suffice jaws. Unfortunately, subsequently I could not read anywhere and to find out what is this aspect of the butterflies was and where they could live on the plateau or whence flied. But in to time I did not think of it. For me was only one desire - to photograph the butterflies. I have run in our room behind the camera. When I have come running back, the shoal of the butterflies already has taken the flight far from ours house, and I could find out about their occurrence only on joy bark Barry, when he sufficed the next victim. To catch up the butterflies to me was not possible, more during our expedition they did not occur.

So the first working day of our expedition - May 4 most saturated and fruitful day of our stay on Ai-Petri gradually ended.

This day our equipment were installed, by our expedition was opened " Ai-Petri effect ", which probably is present and at other mountains, on which the clouds can have seat, we have conducted reconnaissance of district. Watched an infrequent phenomenon - snaggy of the butterflies. Ahead of us other not less interesting days waited.

For now Dmitriy UU4JCQ has taken up a night duty on a radio set. Our lantern illuminated work place, silently stridulated Morse dit-dot. That can be even better for the radio amateur! In this fantastic atmosphere we shall cover even whole five days!
